3 go mad in dorset! glassblowing.

yeah, success, off we go to make glass :)
my little group of glass makers called 'Bubble Trouble' have found a glass studio we can hire. naturally we are very excited and cant wait to get started. it is a precious resource because finding a studio that we could access and which is nearby has been slightly awkward.
we have worked together on and off for a couple years now but not formally as a group. Dorset Art Weeks gave us a reason to. I'll keep you posted on how it goes, with pics.
it was hard to contain the joy from the three of us in the car on the way home.

slight glitch

whoops, bit of a hiccup in the plans. the planned trip to see the glass studio had to be revised :(
i was due to go with 2 friends i am exhibiting with in Dorset Arts Weeks 2010.(see link, i will be uploading my info when i get the password.) we are going under the banner of ' bubble trouble'. we were unable to see the studio so off we went for a coffee to decide what to do. after a double shot of espresso we headed off to a local gallery. quite a bit of glass on display. alot of planning for the weeks ahead got done in a lovely setting by a stream, in a surprisingly sunny day :)



cont: contacted another studio today but unfortunately they are not available in time for me to make work for DAW. I'll keep it in mind for the future though.
